A teacher has to have a sense of humour and a sense that sometimes a fart is just a joke.
But how do you teach children?
The subject is in the spotlight in this week’s episode of The Good Place, with teacher, writer and presenter Adam Davidson taking on the topic of how to teach children.
In the episode, Adam talks about the importance of having a sense and being able to laugh about things.
“Fart jokes are a lot more fun, and there are a whole bunch of people who have done a great job of teaching that, and it’s the fart jokes that I think are the most effective, and the funniest, because it’s all about making the child laugh, and that’s the way we do it,” he says.
“If you don’t laugh with your kids, they’ll have to figure it out.”
He adds that children who get the best performance from teachers will be more likely to succeed in the workplace.
“It’s a skill that kids can pick up pretty easily, it’s just a matter of time, it doesn’t take a lot of practice.
You just have to learn to be able to do it.””
Farts are good.
They can be a little bit of fun,” he explains.”
We can use them to teach, because they’re an opportunity to see what kids are like, to see their personalities, to give them a sense, to teach them something about the world and how we live.””
There’s a reason that a lot people find fart jokes to be quite entertaining, because the jokes are really funny, and I think that’s a great way to teach,” he adds.”
That’s not to say that you should have every kid do a fart, but there are things that are really good for teaching that are not necessarily fart jokes.
You can do a little joke, but it’s not going to make a huge difference, because we are trying to get the message across.””
The best teachers are good teachers.
The best teacher is someone who loves the craft and wants to make it work, who’s really good at understanding kids, and who can deliver a really good experience for the children in the class.
I think there are some teachers who are really, really good teachers,” he concludes.
